Enrollment Procedures 2023-2024
Thank you for your interest in a Catholic education for your child at Nativity Catholic School. Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year begins on January 24th, 2023.

STEPFill out an application form. (See attached application below.)

STEPPrepare to submit the following documents as listed below under *APPLICATION DOCUMENTS.

STEPRequest a recommendation from your child's current teacher using the following forms: TK-1st Grade or 2nd-8th Grades

STEPSchedule an assessment. (After all documents are submitted, the school office will contact you to schedule an assessment for your child or children.)

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
Please submit the following "original" documents along with your child's application. The school office will make and keep only the copies of the originals.
A. Birth Certificate
B. Child's Social Security Card, if applicable
C. Immunization Records
D. Baptismal Certificate
E. First Communion Certificate, if applicable
F. Most recent report card (TK/K exempt)
G. Most recent standardized assessement (TK/K exempt)
H. Teacher recommendation form (to be submitted by teacher)
(Grade TK, K & 1 Recommendation Form OR Grade 2 - 8 Recommendation Form)
I. Custody Agreement, if applicable
J. Application Fee of $60

Transitional Kindergarten students must be four (4) years old by September 1st.
Kindergarten students must be five (5) years old by September 1st.

- Legacy Families: Those families who currently have children enrolled or who are alumni.
- Parish Families: Those families who are actively participating members of Nativity Catholic Church.

Transitional Kindergarten students must be four (4) years old by September 1st.
Kindergarten students must be five (5) years old by September 1st.

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN (TK)
TK is a program designed to meet the needs of students who are turning five years old after the September 1st deadline for Kindergarten. It serves as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten for children with fall/late summer birthdays.

Kindergarten applicants must be five years of age before September 1st of the academic year for which they are applying.

TK is a program designed to meet the needs of students who are turning five years old after the September 1st deadline for Kindergarten. It serves as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten for children with fall/late summer birthdays.
TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO...
- Hold a pencil, marker or crayon
- Listen to and follow 1 to 2 step instructions
- Dress themselves
- Use the bathroom by themselves
- Feed themselves
KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten applicants must be five years of age before September 1st of the academic year for which they are applying.
KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO...
- Use a pencil with a fair amount of accuracy for printing and drawing
- Write name legibly
- Recognize printed letters of the alphabet, both upper and lower case
- Produce the sounds of the letters of the alphabet
- Recognize numbers from 1 to 10 in print
- Count to ten
- Listen to and follow 2 to 3 step instructions
- Can accomplish all of the requirements for TK students
