“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
-Winston Churchill
Each student at Nativity Catholic School benefits from the vision and generosity of many dedicated parents and supporters. Nativity is an independent school and therefore relies on the financial support of parents, faculty, and friends to enhance its curriculum and facilities. To do this each year, we ask all of our families to prayerfully consider participating in ways that are fitting for them.

Every gift to Nativity Catholic School makes a major difference - whether the gift is large or small, it signifies your confidence in us as a school worthy of your support.  Your confidence is well placed.  Your gifts are much appreciated.

It is important for you to know that your giving makes an incredible difference to the students and faculty at Nativity today and at Nativity in the future.  Giving to Nativity Catholic School is one way to ensure that your gift will always come back to you.

For more information on how you can donate or answers to any questions you may have regarding giving, please contact the school office at (310) 328-5387.

GIFTS IN-KIND

Parents occasionally find themselves in the position of donating a variety of items to the school over the course of a year. Books, videos and DVDs, current versions of software and classroom/daycare supplies are just a few of the items that have been donated to the school.

If you would like an official acknowledgement of your gift for tax purposes, please coordinate your donation through the school office which will be happy to provide you with the appropriate paperwork. In addition, Nativity families may receive a credit of one volunteer service hour per every ten dollars ($10) donated with proof of receipt up to a maximum of ten (10) service hours within one school year.

EVENT UNDERWRITING

In an effort to make each dollar raised at a special event count, parents often choose to make a donation for the purpose of underwriting an aspect of that evening’s program. Helping to pay for food, wine, staff, printing costs and other options exist to help maximize the income potential of an event by offsetting the direct costs. If you are interested in helping the school in this manner, please contact the the school office or a member of the Parent Teacher Organization Board.

MATCHING GIFTS

The value of your gift may be increase by double or even triple.  Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees and some will match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy check with your Human Resources department.
