My name is Mrs. Michelle Ramos and I am excited that I will be your child’s Junior High Language Arts teacher at Nativity Catholic School. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and tell you a little bit about myself. Hopefully by learning about my background and the goals that I have for this school year, this introduction will provide the first great step in our journey together to help your child succeed in school.
My passion for teaching began when I was an undergraduate student at California State University, Fullerton. It was there where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Child and Adolescent Studies. To further my education I enrolled at National University to receive my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. In the year 2011, I graduated from Loyola Marymount University receiving a Master of Arts degree in Education with a minor in Child and Adolescent Literacy. My teaching career began fourteen years ago as a teacher in the Long Beach Unified School District. Realizing that my faith in God and commitment to children were connected I began teaching in Catholic Schools eight years ago. As parents you are the most important people in your child’s life. As a teacher, I am here to facilitate this bond while also helping your child to learn the Language Arts process. With a great home-school connection, constant communication between us, and our faith in God I know the students will have a very successful year. I look forward to meeting and working with you soon.
